The District has a slew of amazing Pride events coming up along with Flag Raising ceremonies, music and, of course, the Historic Downtown Farmer’s Market!

Puerto Rican Flag Raising
Join Mayor Fulop, the Office of Cultural Affairs, the City Council and the Jersey City Puerto Rican Heritage Arts and Culture on Monday, August 12th for the Puerto Rican Flag Raising ceremony! The ceremony will take place in City Hall Chambers at 4:00 pm. The event is free and open for everyone!
Also, get ready for the Puerto Rican Heritage Arts & Culture Parade and Festival on August 17th and August 18th! The Festival is scheduled for both dates and will be held on Christopher Columbus Drive, from Marin Boulevard to Warren Street. The Parade is on August 18th at 12:00 and will begin at Lincoln Park with its final destination being City Hall.
Come on out and celebrate the parade, festival and the flag raising ceremony!

Indian Flag Raising
We have another flag raising event! That’s the beauty of living in such a multicultural city. On Thursday, August 15th at 10:00 am, join Mayor Fulop, the Office of Cultural Affairs, the City Council, the Govinda Senior’s Army and the Indian Patriots of NJ for the Indian Flag Raising ceremony. The event will take place in the City Hall Chambers, is free and everyone is welcome to attend.

Continue the music fun! After all, it is still summer! On Friday, August 16th from 8:00 pm – 3:00 am, FM is hosting the second installment of Happy House. The event will feature musicians and performers from diverse backgrounds; dive into various subcultures that you might not be aware of, and open your mind. The event will be hosted by Candy Dish, music will be by Bunny X, White Rope, DJ Barbarella and drag performances will feature: Candy Dish and Medulla Oblongata! Get ready for a fun-filled night!
