January 6 – January 12: 2020, Let’s Go!

We hope everyone had a great and restful New Year’s, and we hope the new year brings good health and happiness!

Even though it’s only January, the HDSID has already begun the process of planning our events for the year: Farmer’s Market, Groove on Grove, All About Downtown Street Fair and everything in between. Continue reading on how you can become a vendor or a performer for one of out events.

Even though people might be recovering from the NYE revelry, the District has several new events to keep the party going into this week in January.

So, sit back, relax and plan for the week ahead!

HDSID Events

Are you a vendor?

Are you an artist?

How about a singer or musician?

If you are interested in vending or performing at any of our events please visit: https://jcdowntown.org/for more information. Our website has the guidelines for each event and information on how to apply. Please review the guidelines prior to applying to ensure that you and your business meet the qualifications.

Event season begins in April!

Speed Networking for Business Professionals

Oftentimes, it’s slightly awkward to network with like-minded professionals in a large group. You’re standing in a large room, don’t know who is the “right” person to interact with and there’s just a group of people around, like an awkward teen party. Here is where Speed Networking comes to save the day! On Monday, January 6th from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm, check out the Speed Networking event at Whiskey and Wine Bar (Grove Square.) What is speed networking you ask? “A structured opportunity to meet accomplished professionals just like yourself, face to face, one business professional at time” as per the organizers.

YOGA for Moms

The holidays are over (for the most part) and the majority of people are emotionally or financially or physically tired from the holiday rush. At the top of that group are moms, of course! Do you think dads do all of the shopping or cooking or cleaning or gift-wrapping? They might help but it always falls on the moms to pull the holidays together! So, this event is perfect for the mothers in your life: Yoga for Moms at Three Little Birds! This class is geared towards pregnant moms, new mothers, and the expert mamas. The next class is scheduled for Tuesday, January 7th at 6:45 pm. Get your tickets at clients.mindbodyonline.com
