Story Time with LSC!
Even if you don’t want to take the kiddos out for some fun, the LSC has you covered with their live online event on Monday, June 22nd from 11:30 am to 12:15 pm! The kiddos (and adults!) can enjoy this free online event via the Liberty Science Center’s Facebook page.
This story-time is geared towards learners in pre-k to the 2nd grade and will be able to read along to Mr. Kengo as he reads “Eyes, Nose, Fingers, and Toes.”

School’s Out, My Gym Camp is In!
One of our amazing sponsors, My Gym, is coming back in a big way and ready for summer! Join the great team at My Gym for their summer camp!
The summer sessions are from June 22nd to September 4th, Monday through Thursday for the entire day and on Fridays, morning sessions will be held only. The summer camp is geared towards kids from 2½ to 13 years old and the kiddos will be split into groups based on their ages.
As if having fun with wasn’t enough after spending weeks indoors, the camp will have different themes each week! As per the organizers, campers can expect:

Little Birds Music Zoom Class

Outdoor Seating/ JC Back in Business!
With the expansion of the Pedestrian Mall, don’t forget to take advantage of the outdoor seating provided by many restaurants!
As per the City’s website, “effective 8:00AM on June 15th the City of Jersey City will permit sidewalk cafes and other outdoor seating at restaurants” to start with some precautions of course. You’ll be able to enjoy a delicious meal and a drink in the historic downtown area of Jersey City! But please remember to practice safe social distancing! Businesses should be following the rules and regulations set forth by the City to ensure everyone is safe: Seating in any outdoor space must be 6 feet apart in all directions, Dogs are still prohibited in sidewalk cafés, Smoking is prohibited in any outdoor space and more. Please see the aforementioned website for more info.
The hours of operation for sidewalk cafés are: Sunday through Wednesday 8:00 am to 10:00 pm, Thursday 8:00 am to 11:00 pm, and Friday and Saturday 8:00 am to 12:00 midnight.

Historic Downtown Farmer’s Market
The Farmer’s Market is held every Monday and Thursday at the Grove PATH Plaza and the First Green area of the Newark Avenue Pedestrian Mall from 4:00 – 8:00 pm!
Stop by and get all of your food essentials and a couple of desserts, you deserve it!

The health of our farm vendors, HDSID staff, and visitors is of utmost important so we have implemented a set of guidelines for everyone to follow. We want everyone to have an easy and stress-free time shopping for goods at the Market. Kindly take a moment to review the customer guidelines listed below. We have taken into account the rules and regulations set forth by the Jersey City Department of Health and Human Services. Kindly review the guidelines before attending the Market.
- If you feel ill, please stay home
- If you’ve come into contact with someone who has either tested positive for COVID-19 or has symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home
- All customers must wear masks and gloves
- Stay 6 feet apart from other customers
- The Market will have signs, lines, and information on where to stand
- Follow the signs placed throughout the Farmer’s Market
- Customers are not allowed to touch the food. Vendors will select products for customers.

- Please do not linger at the market
- Avoid any hand-to-hand contact
- Do not hand payment to vendors directly. Place cash and credit cards on the table for the cashiers to pick up.
- No dogs are allowed at the farmers’ market unless they are service dogs
