We would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to the brave men and women in the military during this holiday and every day of the year. On Memorial Day, we remember and honor those brave souls that paid the ultimate sacrifice.


Historic Downtown Farmer’s Market

On Monday, the market will be closed on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day.

The Farmer’s market will return on Thursday, May 28th 4:00 – 8:00, at the Grove PATH Plaza.


Don’t Forget:

The health of our farm vendors, HDSID staff, and visitors is of utmost important so we have implemented a set of guidelines for everyone to follow. We want everyone to have an easy and stress-free time shopping for goods at the Market. Kindly take a moment to review the customer guidelines listed below. Guidelines were also implemented for the Market staff and the vendors.

We have taken into account the rules and regulations set forth by the Jersey City Department of Health and Human Services. Kindly review the guidelines before attending the Market.


  • If you feel ill, please stay home
  • If you’ve come into contact with someone who has either tested positive for COVID-19 or has symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home
  • All customers must wear masks and gloves
  • Stay 6 feet apart from other customers
  • The Market will have signs, lines, and information on where to stand
  • Follow the signs placed throughout the Farmer’s Market
  • Customers are not allowed to touch the food. Vendors will select products for customers.
  • Please consider placing and paying for your orders online, at
  • Please do not linger at the market
  • Avoid any hand-to-hand contact
  • Do not hand payment to vendors directly. Place cash and credit cards on the table for the cashiers to pick up.
  • No dogs are allowed at the farmers’ market unless they are service dogs

Grove on Grove At Home

We might not have a Farmer’s Market on Monday, but Groove on Grove At Home will be back in action as scheduled on Wednesday! The Groove on Grove At Home series allows you to enjoy the music from the comfort of your own home AND have the opportunity to win cool prizes from local businesses like Gallerie Hudson, The Hair Room, N-Joyable Hair Studio and more! Watch the Facebook Live events on Wednesday, follow our Facebook page for updates and check out the prizes each week.

On Wednesday, May 27th, you’ll enjoy some live hip hop music courtesy of Break a Leg Entertainment from the comfort of your home! Check our Groove on Grove Facebook page for the amazing performance.

The fun begins at 6:00 pm and will feature performances from Elliot Eldasensei Williams , Animal Crackas, Vic Shadez and Marquis Chandler of True N Livin LLC! The event will also feature a Jersey City hip hop playlist and cool facts about our city’s history with the genre.

We are thankful to GothamWest, Dancing Tony, all of the participating bands and the businesses who are partnering with us! Remember- even in quarantine, you can still get your groove on!

Also, Groove on Grove At Home will help to raise funds for Mayor Fulop and the Jersey City Covid-19 Relief Fund. The fund benefits front line essential workers and small businesses in Jersey City.

3rd Annual Yoga & Vegan Fest Jersey City!

We all need something to look forward to during these crazy times and what’s a more appropriate event than Yoga Fest! The 3rd Annual Yoga Fest is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 20th from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm at the Newark Avenue Pedestrian Mall.

Jivamukti Yoga Studio is doing an amazing job bringing together different teachers, musicians and vendors for the day!

This year’s event will feature: yoga classes and workshops for all levels and ages, yummy vegan food vendors, speakers, a mindfulness tent, music, eco-friendly shopping vendors and much more!
