The weather forecast for this week looks a little bleak: rain, thunderstorms, grey skies….

But don’t you worry! The HDSID and our businesses will have you enjoying the days and nights in down town even if the weather is gloomy!


East District PD

The East District PD is hosting a Chalk and Bubble Fun event at Berry Lane Park on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 10:00 am-11:00 am! Bring out the kiddos for this great event and since it’s a scheduled CHAT 4 Change event, badges will be given out! Bubbles, chalk AND badges…c’mon- no brainer!

Grove Street PATH Plaza

July 25 and August 8 from 2:30 pm – 8:30 pm the Bloodmobile will be located at the Grove PATH Plaza! Help save lives and receive a Dunkin Donuts gift card! It’s a win- win situation in our book.

Cats, drinks and giving back… what else does a person need? Join Frankie and JerseyCats on July 26 at 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm for their Puss n’ Booze fundraiser! Well well well! Two chalk events in one week? Let your kiddie’s artistic side explore some more with Hazel Baby & Kids, Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest! This free event is fun for the entire family. Not only will this event have bubbles (what is summer without Bubbles?) but also face painting and arts and crafts! The theme for the Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest is: Summertime in Jersey City

The age breakdown is:

  • AGES 0 – 3 years old: 10:00am – 12:00pm /Hazel Baby & Kids, 199 Montgomery Street
  • AGES 4 – 6 years old: 1:00pm – 3:00pm /Hazel Baby & Kids, 17 McAllister Place (Hamilton Park)
