Jersey City Slam: Femme Poetry Slam
If you would like another form of mindfulness or relaxation, how about placing your thoughts on paper and competing at the Femme Poetry Slam at LITM? Some people need massages while others use words to release tension and what’s inside of them. If you are part of the latter crowd, on Tuesday, March 19th at 6:00 pm sign up for the poetry slam. Competition is open to anyone who identifies as femme as per the organizers: women, non-binary individuals, trans-feminine people, trans-women, anyone who fall under “femme.” Let this poetry competition open your mind- even if you don’t participate, show your support to those brave souls pouring their hearts out.

As per the organizers:
“The Cube of Truth is a peaceful static demonstration akin to an art performance. This demonstration operates in a structured manner that triggers curiosity and interest from the public; we attempt to lead bystanders to a vegan conclusion through a combination of local standard-practice animal exploitation footage and conversations with a value-based sales approach. Masks, signs, and outreach literature are provided. Black upper clothing appropriate for the weather is essential, and please bring a fully charged laptop or tablet if you have one.”
