Month of November – Jane Do  Thanksgiving swEAT challenge
This Thanksgiving you have the chance to EARN YOUR MEAL and PROVIDE ONE TO OTHERS. Starting November 1st, pick up your meal card at the front desk.  TO PLAY: Every serving on your meal card represents one class. For every serving burned, JaneDO will donate $1 to the Community Food Bank of NJ, up to $10** per card.  Plus you get extra guilt-free servings of whatever while feasting with family and friends.

Monday Nov. 7th – Porta Service Industry Night Party  
Live Music and Happy Hour Specials on Monday 11/7 from 10pm until 1am downstairs in our Monk Room Bar.  Live Music: Rocky and The Chapter Cody Huggins (from Nashville, TN) Bobby Mahoney and the Seventh Son.


Tuesday Nov. 8th  ELECTION DAY- Get out and vote!

When your done, kick back at one of these local spots to watch the results roll in.

Wednesday Nov. 9th Word Bookstore Black Tom Book Launch
On July 30, 1916, a massive explosion rocked New York Harbor when the Black Tom munitions depot was blown up by German saboteurs. The cataclysm shook Jersey City, Manhattan, and Brooklyn to the core, terrifying residents, causing staggering destruction, and resulting in death and injury. Join author Patrice Hannon for the launch of her first novel, Black Tom, a richly imagined story of love and sacrifice, a vivid portrait of Jersey City and New York City in the years before the U.S. entered the Great War. Thursday Nov. 1oth The Archer –  1 year Anniversary Party

Celebrate with live music from 7:30-10:30pm from the Blue Vipers of Brooklyn and drink specials all night! The Archer is located at 176 Newark Ave. Downtown Jersey City, NJ

Friday Nov. 11th at Raval – Live Flamenco Show

Saturday Nov. 12th Veteran’s Parade & Fair
The Parade kicks off at Noon starting at Dickinson High School and proceeds down Newark Ave towards City Hall where there will be a vintage car and motorcycle show, live entertainment, art, and a resource fair for veterans!


Sunday Nov. 13th – Modern Sage
– Sunday morning Meditation with Leah
